- Continuous Chest Compression CPR
- Continuous Chest Compression CPR or CCR is a simplified version of traditional CPR that is easy to learn. Simply call 911 and pump on the chest until someone can bring an AED (automatic external defibrillator) to the victim and shock him/her back to life.
- To educate the public about CCR, I produced an educational video in 2004 that explains in detail what this new lifesaving technique is and how it is effective in saving someone’s life in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. I also produced a 4-minute training video that gives step-by-step instruction on how to do Continuous Chest Compression CPR.
- Also in Sept, 2004, I introduced CCR to the HEARTSAFE CAMPAIGN at the St. Luke’s Mid-America Heart Institute in Kansas City and they incorporated CCR in it’s KID’S SAVING LIVES program which instructs elementary school children (4th, 5th, 6th graders) how to do Continuous Chest Compression CPR and use the AED’s if they witness someone collapse from a cardiac arrest.
- In 2005 I spearheaded efforts to launch a metropolitan wide effort to educated the Kansas City metro area about Continuous Chest Compression CPR through a medical symposium for area EMT’s and emergency medical physicians co-sponsored by my company, Anne Peterson Productions, the Heartsafe Campaign and KCMO Health Dept.
- I also produced a video that was shown at KCI airport called “OPERATION HEARTSAFE” that instructs travellers how to do Continuous Chest Compression CPR and use the AED’s if they witness someone collapse from an apparent cardiac event.
- In 2006, KSHB TV 41 NBC Action News agreed to embrace Continuous Chest Compression CPR in a comprehensive community service campaign. I served as the spokesperson for that campaign that included a series of PSA’s and news reports on the morning news and 5pm broadcasts to educate the public on how to do Continuous Chest Compression CPR.
- In 2010, I produced a training video on Continuous Chest Compression CPR for the Sarver Heart Center in Tuscan, Arizona which has received more than 7-million hits on U-Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcbgpiKyUbs
- Video Production for Charitable Organizations – Since the formation of my production company in 2003, I have produced several videos to help further the mission of local charitable organizations as an in-kind donation. Here is a listing of those organizations:
